Sara Cooper is an artist whose work examines the relationship between drawing and making, engaging in the dialogue between fine art and craft.

Sara studied Fine Art and trained as a teacher in the 1990’s, and has since worked extensively in art, design and craft education. She has led, and participated in, a range of initiatives involving a collaborative approach to making artworks, including artist residencies, workshops, projects and exchanges.

Recent work has responded to collections and environments through drawing, print, ceramics and film. Inspired by social and personal histories, Sara is currently developing work in relation to ecology and heritage skills in rural landscapes.
